The Â鶹´«Ã½ Downtown Development Association held its Downtown Distinguished Awards on Thursday evening, July 10, at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Community House. Roughly 40 guests attended to celebrate three downtown businesses and the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The DDA Awards recognize, honor and spotlight members’ businesses that are the heartbeat of downtown Â鶹´«Ã½. In June, the public was invited to vote for the business of their choice in the following three categories: Picture Perfect, With the Cherry on Top and Breath of Fresh Air. There were more than 500 votes cast.
“The response of over 500 votes in our DDA Distinguished Awards survey, with a tight race among multiple businesses right up to the very end, truly speaks volumes,†said Main Street Manager Makenzie McGinnis. “It’s a powerful testament to the incredible quality and dedication of our downtown businesses. They all contribute so much and deserve our recognition and celebration every single day!â€
