The Historic Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Festival is set to return in less than three weeks.
The festival will be held in downtown Âé¶¹´«Ã½ on Sept. 5-6 with more than 250 craft vendors, entertainment on two stages, food, games and rides, according to information from the city of Âé¶¹´«Ã½.
Events on Friday, Sept. 5
On Sept. 5, the festival kicks off at noon with craft vendors offering jewelry, woodworking, pottery, soaps, candles and handmade art, according to a release from the city.
Food trucks offering everything from gyros and egg rolls to funnel cakes and chicken on a stick also will be lined up along the festival route, the city said.
At 5 p.m., the Kids Zone and Teen Zone will offer ticketed rides and games along with the free craft area known as Litter Critters, for children in fifth grade and under. The Teen Zone (located on North Sterling Street) will include Wild West Mechanical Bull, an interactive water game, an inflatable slide and a sports dome with soccer and basketball, according to the city. Local entertainers will perform on the Pepsi Stage (located at the intersection of Sterling and Avery streets).

The Jack Wharff Band from Richmond, Virginia, will kick off the entertainment at 7:30 p.m. on the Historic Courthouse Square Amphitheater Stage with its blend of bluegrass, country and rock. Country music female band Chapel Hart will take the stage at 9:30 p.m. to close out the night.
Festival schedule for Saturday, Sept. 6
The festival will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday with crafts for sale along the blocks of North and South Sterling, East and West Union, and North and South Green streets. Throughout the day there are activities including additional performances from local troupes on the Pepsi Stage and entertainment in the KidZone!, according to the release.
At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Susan Cato-Chapman’s acting will kick off the morning of performances followed by the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Ukulele Society, Sherri’s School of Dance, Tumblemania and Lindsay Spence performing at the bottom of every hour.
Saturday evening, The Phoebes take the Courthouse Square Stage at 6:30 p.m. with a mix of rock and blues, the release said.
Closing out the festival starting at 8:30 p.m. is Vegas McGraw, a Tim McGraw tribute performed by Nashville recording artist and Las Vegas entertainer Adam D. Tucker, the release said.
Entry to the festival and concerts are free. The festival is an animal-free event and will go on rain or shine, according to the city.
