From June 19-20, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the probation and parole officers, the NC Department of Adult Corrections Special Operations and Intelligence Unit, U.S. Marshals Service, Valdese Police Department and the Â鶹´«Ã½ Department of Public Safety to crack down on high-risk offenders to ensure they were complying with court-ordered conditions of release, according to a news release from the Burke sheriff.

During Operation Bring the Heat, officers conducted 30 searches, made 17 arrests and seized multiple firearms, cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl, the release said.

Those arrested during the operation included:

Randy Wade Nelson, 51, of 1186 McLean St., Morganton, who was charged with a felony probation violation. His bond was set at $10,000 secured.

Jose Manuel Alvarez, 43, of 2896 Hallyburton Road, Lot 19, Morganton, who was charged with a felony probation violation. His bond was set at $5,000 secured.

Sherri Yvonne King, 55, of 715 Carbon City Road, Morganton, who was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and two counts of felony probation violation. Her bond was set at $30,000 secured.

Michael Travis Clark, 37, of 1186 McLean St., Morganton, who was charged with misdemeanor probation violation and misdemeanor failure to appear. His bond was set at $10,000 secured.

Priscilla Dawn Moody, 39, of 6366 Rollins Park Drive, Connelly Springs, who was charged with misdemeanor parole violation. She was held without bond.

Roger Dale Abernathy Jr., 26, of 6115 Andria Lane, Connelly Springs, who was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon, felony probation violation and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $30,000 secured.

James Chalmer Norris, 54, of 1931 Tucker St., Hickory, who was charged with a felony probation violation. His bond was set at $10,000 secured.

Wendell Sherwood Osborne, 41, of 8855 NC 18 South, Connelly Springs, who was charged with trafficking heroin, failure to appear on a felony and four counts of felony probation violation. His bond was set at $80,000 secured.

Glenn Ivory Clark, 63, of 4141 Clarks Ave., Valdese, who was charged with misdemeanor probation violation. His bond was set at $5,000 secured.

Shane Donovan McGalliard, 46, of 2239 Antioch Road, Morganton, who was charged with felony probation violation. He was held without bond.

Taylor Denise Weston, 30, of 225 VFW Road, Morganton, who was charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and misdemeanor probation violation. Her bond was set at $25,000 secured.

Frank Christopher Franklin, 38, of 5140 Burkemont Road, Morganton, who was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female. His bond was set at $1,500 secured.

James Drew Ballard, 40, of 204 Smokerise Drive, Morganton, who was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor probation violation. He was held without bond.

Frank Anthony Elliott, 42, of 6937 Knob Ave., Connelly Springs, who was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and a post release violation. He was held without bond.

Regina Mae Crouch, 41, of 3137 East Burke Blvd., Connelly Springs, who was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and a felony probation violation. Her bond was set at $15,000 secured.

Michael Dale McLean Jr., 43, of 5114 Mountain View Blvd., Morganton, who was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and a misdemeanor probation violation. His bond was set at $15,000 secured.

Jody Mitchell Cook, 42, of 6513 George Hildebran Drive, Connelly Springs, who was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and a felony probation violation. His bond was set at $20,000 secured.
