GRANITE FALLS — Get ready to make a splash! The town of Granite Falls announces the grand opening of its new splash pad at the William B. Shuford Recreation Center, 56 Pinewood Road, Granite Falls, made possible in part by a grant from the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF). The celebration begins today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m., followed by the official public opening of the splash pad at 10 a.m. The real fun kicks off at 5 p.m. with the launch of the first annual Splash Bash. The Splash Bash is an exciting, family-friendly festival packed with music, games, food and entertainment for all ages.
